  A robe, two black beards, deep eyes and calm attitude — — Before his execution, he was impassioned: "The great communism cannot be hanged just because the reactionaries hanged me today, and communism will surely win a glorious victory in China." This is the last image of Li Dazhao fixed in the hearts of the people.

  Li Dazhao devoted his short life to the revolutionary cause of establishing "Youth China" and paid a precious life for it.

  In 1889, Li Dazhao was born in Daheituo Village, Laoting County, Hebei Province. His parents died at an early age and he was brought up by his grandfather. In 1913, Li Dazhao traveled to Japan and studied at Waseda University in Tokyo. During his study abroad, Li Dazhao always longed for China to get rid of decadence and revive himself, and the dream of recreating a youthful China filled his heart. A cavity of patriotic feelings gushed out from his pen. He wrote the article Youth in one go, which aroused countless passionate young people’s lofty sentiments of saving the country.

  "With my youth, I will create a family of youth, a country of youth, a nation of youth, a human being of youth, a planet of youth and a universe of youth, so that I can enjoy my endless life." This article, which was written in Japan, was published in No.1, Volume II of New Youth published on September 1, 1916, and then spread all over the country, which had a great impact on China’s old culture, old ideas and old politics.

  In 1916, Li Dazhao returned to China as the director and professor of economics of Peking University Library. During his tenure, Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu and others held high the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal banner and set off a vigorous new culture movement.

  "The highest ideal of life lies in seeking truth." The victory of the Russian socialist revolution in 1917 inspired and inspired Li Dazhao, who was struggling to explore the future path of China. He took the lead in systematically propagating Marxism in China, and successively published articles such as Comparative View of the French-Russian Revolution, Victory of the Common People and Victory of Bolshevism. He confidently predicted: "If you look at the future globe, it will be a world with red flags!"

  After the May 4th Movement in 1919, he devoted himself more to the propaganda of Marxism, published My View on Marxism in New Youth, and systematically introduced Marxist theory. Li Dazhao promoted the widespread spread of Marxism in China and laid the ideological foundation for the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

  At the beginning of 1920, Li Dazhao and other revolutionaries began to discuss the establishment of a proletarian political party in China. In the autumn of the same year, he led the establishment of the communist party Early Organization and the Beijing Socialist Youth League in Beijing, and actively promoted the establishment of a nationwide communist party organization.

  In April 1927, Li Dazhao was arrested and imprisoned in the white terror of reactionary warlords. He was tortured by all kinds of torture, remained steadfast and upright, and was finally killed by reactionary warlords at the age of 38.
