Taiwan Province aborigines demonstrated in many places, and Tainan City shouted to demolish the bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong.
After Sun Yat-sen’s statue was demolished in Tangdezhang Park in Tainan, Zheng Chenggong’s statue in Taiwan Province was also threatened. According to Taiwan Province’s "United Daily News", on February 28th, Taiwan Province aborigines released wolf smoke in various places. On February 28th, Tainan aborigines councilor Gu Mu Ha led a number of aborigines to the front ring of Tainan Railway Station, where they released wolf smoke at the bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong and shouted the slogan "Dismantle the bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong", demanding that the municipal government dismantle the bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong and give justice to the aborigines.

Many places in Taiwan Province shouted "Give me back my land"
According to Taiwan Province’s China Times, five indigenous tribes in Taitung, such as Beinan, Bunong, Paiwan and Ami, and the Saidek Zhongyuan tribe in Renai Township of Nantou County, put forward the demands of "no urban plan" and "anti-nuclear waste" on the 228th Peace Memorial Day, respectively, and called on the people to care about the future of Taiwan Province, preserve and carry forward their own culture, and care for each other.
The villagers in Hongye, Yanping Township, Taitung County, said that stressing that the tribe does not need urban planning is because everyone is worried that the tribal land will be plundered and the land on which they depend will disappear.
Yesterday, the wolf smoke spread everywhere in Taitung. In addition to the Hongye tribe, there were also Nantian Village in Daren Township, Kadian Tribe in Taitung City, Yutong Tribe in Beinan Township, which opposed the relocation and burial of ancestral graves, and Chulu Tribe in Beinan Township, which responded to the demands of the wolf smoke and pursued the transformation justice of the aborigines. They all set off wolf smoke in their respective tribes. I hope the authorities can face up to the demands of the aborigines.
In November last year, the Hongye tribe of Bunun learned that the tribe had been included in the urban plan more than 20 years ago, covering an area of 300 hectares. The residents also held a tribal meeting to discuss and finally reached a resolution against the urban plan. Even the Bunun people who had no class originally organized a youth club to take the lead in the struggle.
Yesterday, the Hongye Tribe Conference, the Development Association, the YMCA and even the neighboring Taoyuan Village all took part in the activities of releasing wolf smoke to express their opposition to urban development, shouting that land is the root of the tribe and refusing the consortium to enter.
Iman, the youth president, pointed out that Hongye doesn’t need an urban plan, but a tribal plan. When visitors come to Hongye Village, they don’t want to see the tribes with novel buildings and beautiful hotels, but belong to the characteristic culture of Bunun, so they will constantly highlight the voices of tribes against urban plans.
Taitung County Construction Department said that the urban plan needs the landlord to put forward a development plan, which can only be developed after being reviewed by the competent authorities and passed by the environmental assessment. Almost only the road demand will have land expropriated, and because the urban plan has continuity according to the principle of trust protection, it will not be revoked.
In Huzhu Village, Ren ‘ai Township, Nantou County, the Zhongyuan tribe also rose, and the Sedek people gathered to demand "returning my land and swearing sovereignty". The wolf smoke-raising activity was held in Dekedaya Church, a tribe in the Central Plains. After praying, the tribe set up a haystack outside the church to light a fire and shouted slogans such as "defending sovereignty and returning my land".
