Report on talent flow in the first quarter of 2019: Shanghai ranked first with an average monthly salary of 9723 yuan.

Recently, 58 City Recruitment Research Institute released the "Report on Talent Flow in the First Quarter of 2019". According to the report, the average monthly salary paid by Shanghai enterprises is 9,723 yuan, ranking first in the country. Beishangguangshen is still the city with the strongest demand for job hunting.

The recruitment demand in new first-tier cities has increased strongly, and Shenzhen is the hottest job-seeking city.

According to the report, in the first quarter of this year, the top ten cities with recruitment needs were Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Zhengzhou and Dongguan. Compared with the same period of last year, the top ten cities with recruitment needs have not changed, and the first-tier cities are still the markets with the largest recruitment needs. Among them, the city with the greatest demand for corporate recruitment is Guangzhou, an increase of 24.95% compared with the first quarter of 2018.

It is worth noting that the recruitment demand in new first-tier cities has increased significantly, which has a great relationship with the country’s deepening structural reform and regional development policies. Just in the first quarter, the Chengdu municipal government established 2019 as the "year of building an international business environment", and the internationalization process of the city strongly encouraged the recruitment of enterprises. Chengdu became the second most demanding city in the first quarter. The recruitment demand in Zhengzhou increased by 29.05% compared with the first quarter of 2018, with the highest year-on-year increase. In 2018, Zhengzhou was listed as the "National Logistics Hub Carrying City", entered the "Top 100 Cities in the World", "Top 50 Cities in Asia" for the first time, and was ranked in seven lists of potential national important centers. These cities honor that Zhengzhou has entered the fast lane of urban development, and the demand for talents naturally grows rapidly.

In the first quarter of 2019, the activity of job hunting in all cities increased, and Beishangguangshen was still the first choice for job hunting. Among them, Shenzhen became the most concerned city for job seekers, and Beijing ranked second. The heat of job hunting in new first-tier cities has increased significantly. The report shows that the number of job seekers in Hangzhou has increased by 35.1% year-on-year, ranking first in the increase of job hunting heat. The number of job seekers in Changsha increased by 34.25% year-on-year, ranking among the top ten most popular job-seeking cities, ranking second in growth rate.

Shanghai has the highest salary, and Hangzhou has the fastest salary increase.

According to the report, in the first quarter of 2019, the salary paid by Shanghai enterprises still ranked first, with an average salary of 9723 yuan/month. Compared with 2018, the salary paid by enterprises in the first quarter of 2019 in the new first-tier city of Hangzhou increased by 25.77% year-on-year, with the highest growth rate. The average salary paid by enterprises was 8684 yuan/month, ranking second, up one place from last year. Judging from the ability to pay, there is no significant gap between many new first-tier cities and first-tier cities. At the same time, because the living cost of new first-tier cities is relatively lower and the employment policy is better, it also attracts a lot of talents’ attention and choice.

The "favor" of new first-tier cities is also reflected in job seekers’ expected salary. The data shows that in the first quarter of 2019, job seekers’ expected salary rose overall, and Shanghai became the first city to pay and expect salary, and Beijing ranked second. Xi’ an’s job-seeking salary increased the highest year-on-year, reaching 8.91%, which attracted much attention.

Li Yan, president of 58 City Recruitment Research Institute, believes that as an important town in the western part of the country and an important node city of the national "Belt and Road" strategy, Xi ‘an has vigorously developed dual-innovation industries in recent years. In 2018, Xi ‘an introduced a number of measures to introduce and cultivate high-end scientific research talents, scarce management talents and skilled and practical talents. A total of 386,000 talents were introduced and trained throughout the year, and a large number of outstanding talents raised the average expected salary of the city. At the same time, the report data also shows that the average salary paid by enterprises in Xi ‘an has also improved to some extent. In the first quarter of 2019, the average salary paid by enterprises in Xi ‘an increased by 10.58% year-on-year, exceeding the expected salary increase of job seekers, reaching 6,615 yuan/month, which also confirms the good development momentum of enterprises in Xi ‘an.
