In the third quarter of this year, Guangdong Administration for Industry and Commerce monitored the quality of lubricating oil and brake oil products sold in the circulation field in the province, and randomly selected 150 batches of lubricating oil and brake oil products sold by 66 sales enterprises, with 85 batches qualified and 65 batches unqualified, with a qualified rate of 56.7%. All products of famous brands such as Kunlun and Mobil were blacklisted.
Among the unqualified lubricating oils, 24 batches are unqualified kinematic viscosity of engine oil, which will cause the engine not to be lubricated well because the oil is too thin or too thick when working, and damage the engine; The viscosity index of 11 batches of engine oil is unqualified. If the index is too low, the kinematic viscosity of oil will drop rapidly with the increase of temperature because of the high temperature when the engine works, so it can not be lubricated well and damage the engine. 24 batches are unqualified pour point of engine oil, which makes it difficult to ensure the normal start and operation of the engine; The flash point of 14 batches of engine oil is too low, which is easy to catch fire and increase fuel consumption; The foam tendency of 17 batches of engine oil is unqualified, and it is not easy to disappear after foam is produced, which makes the engine unable to lubricate normally.
The quality of brake fluid is not optimistic, and the qualified rate is only 34.3%. Brake fluid is an indispensable accessory product for motor vehicles with hydraulic braking system, and its quality directly affects the driving safety of motor vehicles. In 1998, the state brought it into the jurisdiction of industrial products under the production license management system. There are two reasons for the low qualified rate of brake fluid quality: first, some small and medium-sized manufacturers that can not meet the requirements of production license are shoddy and the quality is not guaranteed; Second, automobile manufacturers pay insufficient attention to the quality of brake fluid itself, and overemphasize the cost reduction.
The quality of engine oil and brake fluid in this spot check is not ideal, and some of them are counterfeit brand-name goods. It is reported that the Guangdong Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce will impose corresponding penalties on the counterfeiters.
