During the second China International Import Expo(CIIE), six air quality indicators in the exhibition hall will be monitored in real time.
What was the air quality in the venue during the second China International Import Expo? Is the quality of drinking water up to standard? How to ensure the sanitary quality of hotels around venues?
On September 29th, reporter The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Supervision Office of Shanghai Municipal Health and Health Commission that the second China International Import Expo(CIIE) Health Supervision and Guarantee Monitoring Platform has been set up and put into trial operation. At the same time, in 2019, the department installed air online monitoring equipment in the exhibition halls of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) for the first time, which can grasp the six dynamic air quality data including formaldehyde and carbon dioxide in the exhibition halls in real time, and at the same time timely warn and take corresponding measures to ensure the experience and feelings of visitors in the exhibition halls.

At about 3 pm on September 29, at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), the staff of the Supervision Office of the Shanghai Municipal Health and Health Commission showed reporters the air online monitoring equipment installed for the first time in 2019. In addition, during the 2nd China International Import Expo(CIIE), 36 sets of direct drinking water equipment will be placed in the venue. At present, the personnel of health supervision institutions have completed the water quality safety analysis of all the equipment, and all of them are up to standard. During the meeting, patrol inspection will be kept twice a day to ensure the safety of drinking water.
At the same time, in 2019, the Shanghai Health Supervision Agency also applied new detection technology for the first time, especially for the hygiene of customer supplies and appliances with great risks in the accommodation industry.
Real-time monitoring of air quality in the exhibition hall
Zhang Haiyun, deputy section chief of the Environmental Health Supervision Department of the Supervision Office of Shanghai Municipal Health and Health Commission, told The Paper that considering the crowded people in the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) during China International Import Expo(CIIE), the quality of the air in the venue will greatly affect the visitors’ experience, and the non-stop crowd is not conducive to the supervisors to monitor the air quality in the venue on the spot. Therefore, in 2019, the Supervision Institute of Shanghai Municipal Health and Wellness Committee installed air online monitoring equipment in the exhibition halls of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) for the first time.
He revealed that this air online monitoring equipment will be installed at 15 points in the exhibition hall, and most of them have been installed at present.
"Through signal transmission, health supervisors can grasp the air quality data of inhalable particulate matter, formaldehyde, noise, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity in the exhibition hall remotely and in real time through the China International Import Expo(CIIE) Air Online Monitoring APP installed on the mobile phone, which can not only clearly understand the sanitary conditions of the venue, but also provide a basis for organizers to control the number of visitors to the venue." Zhang Haiyun said.
He further stated that once the six major air qualities in the venue exceed the standard, an alarm will be issued through the remote monitoring system, and a short message will be sent to the health supervision agency in time, so that the staff of the health supervision agency can promptly inform the venue to strengthen ventilation and limit the flow of people.

At about 4 pm on September 29th, Shanghai health supervisors conducted on-the-spot testing of drinking water for direct drinking water equipment placed in the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), and all of them met the standards. The Paper reporter Chen Situ
In addition, the drinking water provided in the China International Import Expo(CIIE) Exhibition Hall also has corresponding safety guarantee.
Ying Liang, chief of the Product Hygiene Supervision Section of the Supervision Institute of Shanghai Municipal Health and Health Commission, told The Paper that during the second China International Import Expo(CIIE), health supervisors will inspect the water quality of 12 drinking water tanks set up in the venue and 36 direct drinking water placed in the venue twice a day, monitor the turbidity and residual chlorine of drinking water on the spot, and upload the data in real time.
"From the complete analysis of the water quality and safety of all direct drinking water equipment, it has reached the standard." Ying Liang said.
Build a monitoring platform for health supervision and guarantee
How to ensure that guests from all over the world spend a hygienic and safe exhibition in Shanghai is also one of the key contents of health supervision institutions.
Lu Wei, director of the Supervision Institute of Shanghai Municipal Health and Health Commission, said that before that, the Shanghai Health Supervision Agency had organized a "100-day rectification campaign" to implement health management in the city’s accommodation places in 2019. In addition, the health supervision agency also specifically targeted at the hygiene of customers’ articles and appliances with great risks in the accommodation industry, and applied ATP detection technology for the first time.
He explained that through a small cotton swab and a palm-sized instrument, this technology enables the supervisor to make the contaminated customer supplies and appliances have nothing to hide in one minute, which not only solves the shortage of naked eye observation in the past, but also avoids the shortage of long laboratory testing cycle, and realizes the breakthrough of public health guarantee in accommodation from naked eye to data, from laboratory testing to on-site rapid testing, thus realizing accurate supervision of risk links.

It is worth mentioning that the second China International Import Expo(CIIE) Health Supervision and Security Monitoring Platform, built in 2019, covers all kinds of security-related units in the city according to the concept of "object coverage, key mastery, risk orientation and prevention first", and according to the different security requirements of points-National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) and Intercontinental Hotel, lines-Changning, Minhang and Qingpu core areas, and areas-all administrative districts in the city. Through GIS technology, the public health security information in key areas, core areas and the whole city is displayed, including information on health supervision, drinking water sanitation, medical radiation, infectious disease prevention and control in public places such as hotels and transportation hubs in the city.
In addition, the supervisors who patrol the venues can also use this monitoring platform to report real-time information and receive instructions with the command center located in the venue.
Lu Wei said that the construction of this platform will not only help decision makers to fully grasp the public health risk situation in the city and key areas, but also help supervisors to identify public health risks in key places and key areas and prevent major public health emergencies.
